I sang with Bob when he was the music
director at Lakewood Christian Church, before he moved on to St. Paul's.
His gentle way of directing and encouraging helped me tremendously. He
asked me several times to be the 'demo' for something he wanted the choir
to do. This encouraged me to take music lessons and classes at MCC to
further train my voice. This allowed me to begin to lead children and
handbell choirs, and, even with his permission, play one of his songs on
handbells. The angels are singing his beautiful songs, even now.
Thank you for sharing this website. I
would like to also see a list of his compositions somewhere on the site.
Perhaps you could contact the Baylor University archives for pictures of
Bob directing the infamous
Chamber Singers, for which I was so fortunate to be a part of
for three years.
Best of Luck and Kudos for investing in
the memory of a wonderful man, a wonderful life.
